


Welcome, and thank you for your interest in becoming a poll worker!
It is a great way to get involved, meet people, and best of all, get paid while participating in our democracy!
Let’s get started. First, in order to be a Poll Worker in Knox County, you need to be registered to vote in Knox County. If you are not, then go to the right of this page and click "Register to Vote". Don’t worry, it won’t be difficult! Just follow these 3 easy steps. The process will take less than 30 minutes.

SIGN UP
Provide us with your information so that we can contact you about times, places and pay. Don’t worry, your information is secure. Only members of the Poll Worker Training Team at the Baker Center and the Election Commission will contact you and have access to this information.
TRAIN
Watch 3 short training videos, and answer a few questions at the end of each. Be sure to watch each video in its entirety, and answer all the questions after each video in order to move on to the next one. Once you successfully complete the online training, you will be contacted about attending a short in-person review session in mid-October at the Baker Center. There, you will get your polling station assignment.
SHOW UP
Show up at your polling station on Nov. 2 and help people successfully cast their vote! Within one month of Election Day, you will receive payment for all of your hard work. We appreciate your engagement in the electoral process!
